Measure 3a tracks the “contribution” of the MWPA grants program to the overall mitigation effort. MWPA will not be tracking local grant programs administered independently by agencies.
Example 1: Let’s assume that in July of the given year, West Marin has 6,000 resolved issues*, and 500 of these resolved issues were resolved with the help of MWPA Grant funds. The grants contribution to mitigation in West Marin that month will be 500 / 6,000 = 8%.
* In the context of Goals 3 and 5, an issue or discovery is a finding on a private parcel, such as a dead tree or the absence of gutter guards, which could contribute to an increased likelihood of fire ignition or propagation.
