This project includes the removal of a 1.4-acre eucalyptus stand immediately adjacent to a residential neighborhood in order to reduce wildfire risk and restoration of the site to a native oak and riparian forest with a lower wildfire fuel profile. Activities in fiscal year 2022-23 include environmental compliance under CEQA, permitting and coordination with California Department of Fish and Wildlife, eucalyptus removal, and some or all revegetation with native species.
